Call for an arrival time, WhatsApp us a photo of the problem, or send the form and we will come back to you with a time and a price. For anything with a fire or shock risk, call rather than write — we answer after hours.

What to have ready when you call

It saves a callout more often than you would think. Tell us your suburb, what is happening and when it started, whether the whole property is affected or only part of it, and whether your neighbours still have power. If you can safely see your distribution board, tell us whether the main switch or the earth leakage unit has tripped. A photograph of the board sent by WhatsApp is worth several minutes of description.

If it is an emergency

Burning smells, smoke, sparking, exposed conductors, water on electrical equipment or someone receiving a shock all count as emergencies, as does total power loss where there is medical equipment, security or a business at stake.

• Switch off at the main switch if it is safe to reach.
• Do not touch anything that is wet, hot or sparking.
• Keep people and pets away from the area.
• Do not keep resetting a breaker that trips — it is tripping for a reason.
• Then call us. We will tell you on the phone whether you need someone tonight.

Quotes and callouts

For fault finding there is a callout and diagnostic fee, and we tell you what it is before anyone is dispatched. For quoted installation work the site visit is normally included in the quote. For standard items — a COC inspection, a board change, a standard point — we can usually give you a realistic range over the phone. For a fault nobody can honestly price a repair before they have found the fault, and anyone who does is guessing.
